Island Girls with Bamboo Handle

For this unique handbag, I combined two different sewing patterns to create

a roomy handbag with plenty of island vibes.

This "Pinup Island Girls" cotton fabric in the original colorway is much sought after,

and is part of my collection of vintage fabrics from the 90s.

The Island Girls handbag has tabs which attach to a pair of bamboo handles.

It is lined in green cotton chintz, which has a very slight sheen.

There is an inside pocket and magnetic tabs as a partial closure.
